I’m George Hornedo
I’m running for Congress because Hoosiers deserve leadership that delivers real results—not just talk.

MY STORY
Indianapolis raised me—now I’m stepping up to fight for it. I grew up and still live on the Northside, where I learned the values that guide me every day: hard work, resilience, and a deep commitment to community. Those lessons shaped who I am and inspired my career in public service.
Throughout my professional life, I’ve worked at the highest levels of state and national Democratic politics, including serving in the Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Justice. Whether it was working on civil rights or leading national outreach efforts at the Obama Foundation to reimagine policing, I’ve focused on bringing people together to solve tough challenges.
I also believe education is a cornerstone of opportunity. After graduating from Cornell, Harvard, and George Washington University Law School, I dedicated my career to advancing policies that expand access to resources, build safer neighborhoods, and create economic opportunity.
Now, I’m running for Congress to bring that experience home. Indianapolis deserves leadership with the vision and determination to take on our toughest challenges and deliver results for every Hoosier.

WHY I'M RUNNING
Our city and our country are at a crossroads. Hoosiers are working harder than ever, but too many feel like they’re falling behind. We see it in rising costs, neighborhoods plagued by gun violence, and the growing divide between those who are thriving and those left behind.
I’m running for Congress because I believe Indianapolis deserves leadership that listens, takes action, and delivers real results. This isn’t about empty promises or politics as usual—it’s about fighting for the change we need to move forward.
I’m ready to bring bold ideas and fresh energy to Congress to tackle the challenges we face. Together, we can create safer neighborhoods, build an economy that works for everyone, and ensure every Hoosier has the opportunity to succeed. The stakes are too high to settle for anything less.

Results You Can Trust
Throughout my years in public service, I’ve focused on solving tough problems and delivering results that matter. Here’s what that looks like:
Redefining Public Safety
At the Obama Foundation, I led mayoral outreach for the Reimagining Policing Pledge, securing commitments from over 300 communities—including the 10 largest U.S. cities—to review and reform use-of-force policies.
Securing Federal Investments for Communities
I worked with cities across the country—helping to secure hundreds of millions of dollars in critical federal funding for infrastructure, water systems, and economic development projects.
Driving Climate Innovation
I led federal government outreach for ClimateReady Tech Hub—a consortium of local governments, businesses, universities, and economic development organizations to secure $19.5 million in federal funding to implement groundbreaking solutions for climate resilience and sustainability.
